FAQ

1, Why Don’t We Provide Free Supplier Quotes?

At Tom Sourcing, we’re happy to provide free quotes for our own service fees. The reason we don’t provide free supplier quotes is that every project is unique, and sourcing accurate information requires time and effort. We also need to check project feasibility and supplier capabilities to ensure our quote is reliable and realistic. This way, you can make informed decisions without any surprises.

2, Our Payment Terms

Our payment terms are designed to keep things clear, flexible, and fair for both sides. We offer two types of payment terms depending on the project:

1. Hourly Projects
For time-based projects, we require a minimum charge of 10 working hours to start. After that, billing can be settled monthly or by project, depending on your preference and the project’s progress.

2. Product Orders
For product procurement or production orders, we usually require a 50% deposit before starting and the balance payment after the goods are ready.
If the shipment cannot be arranged immediately after final payment, we offer one month of free storage starting from the date the goods are ready.
After that period, a small storage fee will be charged based on the number of pallets occupied.

3, Why Don’t We Offer Drop Shipping Service So Far?

Our business model is B2B-oriented, which means our pricing structure and service system are designed for wholesale rather than retail operations.

Drop shipping is essentially a retail model, requiring dedicated staff and daily order management. Given the nature of our current projects and clients — who mainly focus on bulk orders — it’s not an efficient use of our limited resources to handle small, daily shipments.

However, we’re open to discussing large-scale drop shipping projects.
If your project involves a daily order volume of 100 units or more, we can consider assigning a dedicated person to manage it.
Otherwise, the operating cost — including manpower, warehouse, and overhead — would exceed what the business model can sustain.

4, Why Don’t We Share Supplier Contact Details?

At Tom Sourcing, part of our value lies in finding, verifying, and managing reliable suppliers on your behalf.
Sharing direct supplier contacts would compromise this role and the trust we’ve built with both clients and suppliers.

We act as your sourcing and quality partner — handling communication, production follow-up, inspection, and shipment to ensure everything runs smoothly.
This way, you can focus on your business while we take care of the entire supply chain.

Of course, all suppliers are transparent in process: we share product specifications, production details, inspection results, and shipping updates, so you’re fully informed without needing to manage factory communication yourself.
